about me
Hello! My name is Anna Fagre and I'm a scientist, veterinarian, and artist located in Northern Colorado. Before moving here for veterinary school, I spent most of my formative years in NE Iowa. Growing up in the rural Midwest provided many opportunities to work with/around animals. I seized every possible one of them—livestock, shelter dogs, horses, (and of course) injured wildlife.
🦝🦇🐦⬛
I am a veterinarian with specialty training in the following areas:
diagnostic microbiology/virology (Residency in Diagnostic Microbiology)
viral pathogenesis and transmission studies (PhD in Microbiology/Virology)
biosurveillance & infectious disease epidemiology (CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service)
veterinary public health (MPH/DVM Combined Program)
🔬
When I'm not working in the lab, I make collage art and compose music (primarily using synthesizers and sampled environmental noise). My spouse and I tend to a small zoo, comprised of vertebrates and invertebrates alike.
